Welcome to Greek School at the Hellenic Education Center of Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church

Our aim is to prepare our students to advance academically and get involved socially and emotionally with the Greek culture.
Developing future leaders and responsible citizens is part of our curriculum in the following domains:

  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
  • Effective Oral and Written Communication
  • Curiosity and Imagination discovering new knowledge

We are commited to providing high quality education for 21st century learners–from beginning to advanced Greek language proficiency levels.

We offer the following language courses:

Greek School Classes (Youth): FRI 5:00-7:00pm, SAT 9:30-1:30

Adult Classes (Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced)TUES 7:00-9:00pm OR TH 7:00-9:00pm

Throughout the school year, we offer weekly HW Help sessions to assist students in understanding and completing their homework assignments.

Starting in January, we offer two additional programs:

Ellinomatheia Prep: A class to help students prepare for the Ellinomatheia exam that is typically administered in May at our testing center.

Adult Short Course: This is a short course from January to end of May meant to provide an introduction to the Greek language, culture, and history. It is great for those who want an initial introduction or for those planning to travel to Greece.
